Android was also launched in year 2007 as same year when Apple launched.
But in the starting, It wasnt much stable as it was launched by Google company (Powerful Search Engine)
By the time It has improvements and it started beating the world records by becoming the most beautiful handy Smartphone.
The latest version of Android is 4.1 jelly bean-kitkat series (now it is upcoming Android L). Android is open source, it means that Android can be manufactured by any company such as companies like Htc, Samsung, Sony, Micromax Etc... a huge wide range. There are 40% users of Apple in the World Apples no.1 competitor is Android
Wordwide user of Android is 42.5% where as of Windows phone it Is 16-17% the others have candybar. Simple Phones 3%approx.
